The Spurs do NOT need another person taking shots. They could use someone like a young Ben Wallace who doesn't need or want many chances to score. Duncan, Parker, and Ginobili can take care of the offense, and Duncan and Bowen will handle the defense. Report It


first off, why would you trade away guys who were instrumental in getting you a championship, even if they are only reserves?

second. the spurs don't need to trade. finley, barry, bowen (did i just hear a collective sigh of relief?), and horry (waddah? there's that sound again) are all retiring after this season. they will be in the hunt for good free agents next summer.

third. with ian mahinmi and tiago splitter together with elson/oberto not to mention duncan, they're stacked at the 4 and 5 spots. what the spurs will be needing is a 2 guard and a long small forward.

Yeah, They just need a quality point guard to back up Parker really. The rest is stable.
